Kitten Smitten is a family-based foster home specializing in neonatal kitten care. Since 2016, we’ve worked closely with Chicago-area rescues and shelters to save more than 200 orphaned kittens.
Neonatal kittens, or “bottle babies,” are born completely blind, deaf, and unable to maintain body temperature, which means they need around-the-clock care to survive. They are particularly vulnerable and fragile, especially in a shelter environment with limited staff available for overnight feedings. Sadly, bottle babies are often euthanized if a foster isn’t available to care for them.
This is our niche – and it’s what motivates us to do more, give more, love more, and save more.
As wee as our bottle babies are, their needs are quite great! Since we are not (yet) a registered 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, we do not accept monetary donations from our supporters.
